Mesh is a website designed for Murdoch University students who are looking for work in the creative industry to gain experience.
This project involved the complete redesign of the MESH website, the student creative consultancy platform for Murdoch University’s School of Media and Communications. Established in 2017.
The existing MESH website no longer aligned with the school’s updated branding and reputation strategy.
Mesh reached out to our team to restructure and create a visual identity that suited their needs.
Who?
My role in this project was team leader which involved organising the project and delegating tasks. I was responsible for coding and checking, and translating project requirements. I coded the index.html and designed the testimonials page in Wordpress.
This project featured Thomas Marsden, Louis and Alex Bell. Together we successfully coded and provided a website that had SEO and was optimised for user viewing.
How
The desiging process was formed on research and interviewing, through empathising with University students to thoroughly understand the issue at hand.

Stakeholders and prototyping
Stakeholders are those who have an input towards the project direction. The design process for this project was long as there were many stakeholders that we had to engage.
Throughout the entire process we were meeting with Mark Cypher and Renai Desai to ensure that the direction suited mesh's needs.

Building and testing
There were many steps to building and launching the website. These included: building HTML and CSS and then adding the designs into word-press.
To ensure that the website also suited the users needs we constantly asked for testing from students on campus.
The website was complete with SEO optimising for the best search results.
Aditionally, the website had many moving graphics, which set it apart from other websites as they were visually engaging.
